Mitchies Jetty and Fishpen Charters Sponsorship

I would like to welcome on board as a Bronze sponsor of my Bravehearts in July this year Mitchies Jetty / Fishpen Charters 

Mitchies Jetty is one of the most iconic and photographed places on the far south coast. It is a gathering place for families and friends to enjoy a morning coffee and a yummy treat while making the most of the sun, sand and water.

It also caters for those looking for a little adventure in the form of kayaking, stand up paddle boarding or heading out on a fishing charter with Scott and his crew. Fishpen Charters has been operating for the last 30 years from Mitchies Jetty in Merimbula specialising in reef and bottom fishing as well as whale watching.

Through the generous support of Scott, Chelsea and their family my tally has now climbed over $21000! I would love to see this tally continue to grow and help support the valuable work that Bravehearts does for Australian children. 

January kitchen takeover at the Bega Country Club

Two weeks done with another two to go in a “ kitchen takeover” during January at the Bega Country Club. 

Thanks to everyone who supported us over these nights. 

All profits from catering on these nights goes towards my fundraising goal for Bravehearts @777marathon 

In July 2025 I will be running 

• 7 marathons 
• in 7 days 
• in 7 states 

to support Bravehearts for the work they do for the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse. 

As always, this isn’t possible without the assistance of my friends who always put up their hands to help out. 

Thanks for the last two weeks go to Jason, Nikki, Elyse, Eric and Tammy (week 1) and Jeff, Jason, Nikki, Col, Jan and Eric (week 2). Thanks again to Paddy from Club Bega for allowing this wonderful opportunity. 

We have now managed to raise $15214! Thank you to everyone who has donated or helped me in anyway so far. 😊

Another big, successful night!

Another appreciation post. 😊

Thanks to everyone who supported us last night at the Bega Country Club bistro night. It gives me a massive buzz to hear that the food is enjoyed and to have people asking about when we are cooking next. 

All profit from catering on the night goes towards my fundraising goal for Bravehearts @777marathon

Another “full house” saw $1542 in profits go towards my tally!

We will pop up again in mid to late January. After 3 consecutive weeks of catering (on top of my day job) it’s time to recharge the batteries and get in some more training (6 months to go!).

Catering for a bistro night

Wow!! What a night!! 🤯

I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to serve my food to the masses who went out to the Bega Country Club last Friday night. 

All profit from catering for the night goes towards my fundraising goal for Bravehearts @777marathon 

In July 2025 I will be running 

• 7 marathons 
• in 7 days 
• in 7 states 

to support Bravehearts for the work they do for those who have experienced child sexual abuse 

A “full house” saw just over $1500 in profit go towards my tally! 

A massive thank you goes to Jason, Jeff, Col, Eric, Lyn and Tammy for their assistance on the night. Thanks also to Paddy from the Club for gifting me this wonderful opportunity. 

We put out approximately 120 meals:

• Pulled pork rolls 
• Pulled pork loaded fries 
• Smash burgers  
• Smoked sausages 
• Lasagne 
• Nuggets and chips

We are “on” again next Friday night. For my Bega friends I recommend you call the Country Club early to book a table on 6492 1570. With this being the final night to get a ham before Christmas from the raffles it will be another packed house!  

Thank you also to Tracey Gottaas for her amazing support. Tracey has not only made regular donations but also arranged a raffle which was drawn during the night (raising another $200)!

Bega Country Club Men’s Presentation Night

Another successful weekend with catering done for the Bega Country Club Men’s Presentation. 

Profit from catering for the day goes towards my fundraising goal for Bravehearts @777marathon 

A big thank you goes to Sam, Harrison and Tammy for their assistance on the night. 

We put on finger food for 50:

• beef sliders
• chicken wings 
• jalapeño and cheese meatballs 
• pulled pork tacos (forgot to get a photo)

My fundraising continues to tick over towards my (minimum) goal of $11000.

Golf charity day catering event

A successful weekend…

Thank you to everyone who made the last three days a total success! 

I was (along with a bunch of helpers) given the opportunity to cater at the Bega Country Club for the regular Friday night bistro crowd and then the two days of the Bega Men’s Open. All profits from these days will go towards my fundraising efforts for the @777marathon raising much needed funds for Bravehearts. A little stressful at times during preparation (to say the least 😂) but it was great to put my love of cooking towards my fundraising goal. 

It would not have been possible without the support of so many people:

• Paddy, Jason and Robbo from the club and committee for giving me the opportunity 
• my band of helpers over the last few days :

• Carol, Garry, Brendan, Eric and Tammy on Friday night
• Gus on Saturday 
• Elyse on Sunday

• to everyone who made extra donations over the days 

Together we put out a heap of meals with preliminary results showing a profit of around $2000 which will go to my tally.
