Supporting Bravehearts is deeply personal and meaningful to Laura King (CEO and Founder of Heych), something that inspired the creation of Heych.

It all started with an incident at Laura's son's kindy, something that rocked her to her core. Laura, like a lot of Brisbane parents in late 2023, was told that a child sex offender worked at her son's kindy, and suddenly, everything changed. The feeling of vulnerability, of wanting to protect her child and others from this danger, was indescribable.

In that moment, Laura felt compelled to take action. She couldn't simply stand by and do nothing. So, she made a decision. Laura resolved that Heych would be a platform for giving back, for making a tangible difference.

That's why Heych is committed to donating 10% of their net profits to charity, including Bravehearts who is committed to the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse. It's not just about selling bags; it's about using Heych's platform to support causes that truly matter.

At the same time, Laura found herself facing a different kind of challenge. She was caught between the practicality she needed as a mum and the style she desired as a woman. None of the mum bags on the market quite fit the bill - until she realised she could create one herself.

That's where the idea for Heych truly took shape. Laura wanted a bag that looked like a chic tote but could transform into a backpack in a snap. A bag that could keep up with the demands of motherhood without sacrificing style or convenience.

Heych melded these two ideas together - the need to give back and the desire for a mum bag that truly worked. And so Heych was born.

Heych is the creation of something authentic, something that speaks to the struggles and joys of motherhood, while also making a positive impact in the world.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with Heych. Together, let's make a difference, one bag at a time.
